Coronavirus has been declared as a pandemic by WHO and is spreading all over the world. One of the causes of its spread is that people mistake common flu and cough to be a regular infection and never go for tests.
Hence, unknowingly these people are spreading Coronavirus to all those who are coming in touch with them. Some people are scared of being put in quarantine, so they prefer to not go for tests.
We are so frightened that if we see somebody coughing or sneezing, we presume that the person might be infected with COVID 19 and immediately get concerned about safeguarding ourselves and our family.
What should we do to prevent getting infected with Corona Virus?
Well, there are plenty of ways to increase your immunity to not let Corona affect you. In Wuhan city of China, it is upsetting to know that 5000 people died of Corona, but there were about 70,000 others, who recovered or stayed safe from Corona. This shows that it all depends on how strong your immune system is?
It was because those 70,000 people had a good immune system. So, a good immune system can really help in fighting any infection, not just Corona.
Here is what you must do:
- Start your day with a positive thought: Soon after waking up, create a thought that I am perfectly healthy. I am positive, energetic, and healthy.
Repeat these thoughts for about 8 to 10 times. Visualize yourself staying healthy and happy with your family.
2. Do breathing exercises: Doing Pranayam (like anulom vilom, Kapal Bhati, and brahmari) is very important. Pranayam raises lung capacity and provides excellent immunity against all the infections.
At least do Pranayam for 10 minutes in the morning when you are empty stomach. It will boost your immunity to a great extent.
3. Drink warm water every 15 minutes: Any infection entering through the air, water, or food first comes to the throat. From there, it either enters the lungs or goes into the stomach. When you drink warm water frequently, then the infection enters the abdomen and is killed by the acid formed in the stomach to digest food.
So, to protect yourself from any infection, it is advised to drink warm water every few minutes.
4. Eat turmeric, ginger, and tulsi every day: Turmeric is anti-inflammatory and antiseptic in nature. It contains curcumin, which is rich in anti-oxidants. Add half a teaspoon of turmeric, squeeze the extract of ginger in it, and add some honey to it. Drink this mixture every day in the morning. Make your family drink this too, as it really boosts the immunity.
Also, add tulsi and ginger to your tea regularly. Add some tulsi leaves to your water and drink it daily. Tulsi has excellent medicinal and healing properties.
Here, are a few precautions, that will help you to stay safe in this COVID-19 outbreak:
Wear a mask when you step outside: Whenever you step out from home, you must wear a mask to stay safe. Whether there are any positive cases reported in your city to date or not, you must always take precautions.
Most people are unaware that they are infected by Coronavirus. You don’t know who is affected and who is not. As they say, prevention is better than cure, so please take all the precautions.
Soon after coming back, wash your hands and face thoroughly with soap and water. Carry a sanitizer wherever you go.
Stop eating outside: For a few weeks, try not to eat out. Only buy raw fruits and vegetables and make your own preparations at home. Don’t buy cakes, pastries, or any dry snacks to munch.
Don’t Travel: This is the time to make use of technology at its best. Choose to work from home as the less you step out, the less are the chances of catching an infection. Use FaceTime and Skype to connect with clients all over the globe.
Don’t Panic: People who have very weak immunity are the ones dying of Corona. Remember that you are much stronger than any disease or situation. Have this faith, that you have the immunity to fight any infection that comes in contact with you.
